“I Pretty Much Wanted to Die” - The origins of LOST, as told by the people who made it; an excerpt from TV critic Alan Sepinwall’s The Revolution Was Televised.
The story of LOST makes no sense.
And by that I don’t mean the story on the show — though this is the point where you can feel free to insert jokes about the numbers, the outrigger shootout, or the reasons why Walt was “special” — but the story of how LOST itself got made.
This is a great read. There’s a lot more about LOST in the book, so I think I’m going to have to pick it up.
The Onion made a LOST joke.
i have been enjoying that each episode of revolution is taking more cues from LOST by having more character centric flashbacks … and the fact that now we have juliette, jacob AND lapidus. can we get faraday in yet?

‘Lost’ Showrunner Brings ‘Psycho’ Prequel to A&E
A&E has ordered 10 episodes of a prequel to Psycho from the other Lost showrunner, Carlton Cuse, who will co-executive produce the drama series with Kerry Ehrin (Friday Night Lights). Not too shabby, eh?
According to the network’s press release, Bates Motel will look at “the formative years of Norman Bates, [his] relationship with his mother, Norma, and the world they inhabit” — all set in the present day. “Viewers will have access to the dark, twisted backstory and learn first-hand how Norma helped forge the most famous serial killer of them all,” they explain.
